The ceramic tile and bathroom fair, set to take place from 13th to 17 June at Feria Valencia, is assured of healthy attendance by entire Spanish purchasing sector and main distributors in overseas markets

Valencia’s robust positioning as a tourist destination and its status this year as World Design Capital and European Capital of Intelligent Tourism have boosted the event’s appeal

Valencia, 10th February 2022.– The ceramic tile and bathroom industry’s purchasing power has given its backing to Cevisama 2022 being held in June. There are still four months to go before the event – scheduled to run from 13th to 17th June at Feria Valencia – takes place and the leading distributors in the domestic market have already confirmed they will be attending, as have over 230 large ceramic tile and bathroom groups in overseas markets. The figure far exceeds the total number of distributors invited to the last edition of the fair, held in February 2020, as part of the “Cevisama Business Club” programme.

These companies include, notably, 20 buying groups in the United States, a market in which the fair is rolling out an intense recruitment campaign. Interest has surged in other priority markets too, such as Canada, Latin America and northern Europe. As to Cevisama’s traditional markets, 40 German, 25 Italian and 15 French distributors have confirmed they will be attending.

These numbers will grow over the coming weeks as a thanks to the work Cevisama is undertaking in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, through IVACE Internacional, to recruit buyers and specifiers from the United Kingdom, which is Cevisama’s guest country this year.

British distributors will thus be in the spotlight in the Ivace Awards for Tile of Spain Promotion, which will celebrate ten British importers. The UK is Tile of Spain’s third largest export market.

These figures validate the decision to re-schedule the industry’s foremost event for June, a move that, according to Cevisama’s director, Carmen Álvarez, was designed to facilitate the fair “being successful in terms of financial profitability for our customers and, of course, offering the best possible conditions as regards health and safety”.

Valencia: hot destination

As well as the extensive rollcall of exhibitors and the assured presence of Spanish and international purchasing power, Cevisama 2022 will also benefit from a very special asset: the city of Valencia.

Valencia has become one of Europe’s main tourist destinations and as well as being World Design Capital 2022 is also European Capital of Intelligent Tourism. Everyone attending Cevisama will have the opportunity to enjoy not just the city’s glorious weather, but also a cultural, gastronomic and leisure offering that will help make a visit to Cevisama an unforgettable experience

Set to take place from 29th March to 1st April, the fair has 512 companies and brands signed up to take part, including 396 direct exhibitors from 19 countries.

A survey of the FIMMA – Maderalia database reveals that 87% of professionals surveyed will be visiting the biennial fair being held at feria Valencia in March and that their “intention is to look for new suppliers”.

Valencia, 8th February 2022.- FIMMA – Maderalia confirms high hopes have come true. With a little under two months to go before it opens, the organisers of specialist biennial fair for materials and technology for the wood and furniture-making industry have confirmed the showcase will comprise 356 direct exhibitors, with 512 companies or brands represented, as can be seen on the event’s official website.

These impressive numbers will translate into an exhibition covering more than 50,000 square metres of Feria Valencia. FIMMA – Maderalia is set to be the first major fair for the industry to take place in Europe this year following the leading European fairs – mostly German – progressively cancelling or delaying their events at the beginning of the year.

It should also be borne in mind that the last edition of FIMMA – Maderalia was four years ago (2018) and that, post-pandemic, the industry is very much looking forward to this edition.

FIMMA – Maderalia has as a result strengthened its marketing over the last few weeks, the aim being to offer the best possible showcase to a sector that received a boost during the two years of the pandemic from the boom in renovation and refurbishment. Feria Valencia carried out a survey over the last three weeks, through its own databases of industry professionals, to gain a first-hand insight into their concerns and create the best possible fair.

The results have strengthened FIMMA – Maderalia’s positioning and highlighted the “need” for an event like Feria Valencia’s biennial exhibition. The fair’s director, Miguel Bixquert, says that “We carried out a survey of more than 500 professionals and 87% of them said they have confirmed they will be visiting the fair. we also took the opportunity to enquire about thecurrent state of the industry and amongst the various motives for visiting FIMMA – Maderalia, almost all respondents highlighted having had problems with their usual suppliers over the last two years so now need to see what other options the market can offer them”.

This was with reference to furniture manufacturers, renovations contractors, carpentry firms, storage facilities, kitchen builders and flooring installers, who “in many cases worked non-stop throughout the pandemic and were not sufficiently acknowledged by their suppliers. Also, the restrictions on mobility over these last two years have revived the need to update content, catalogues and products. And the best forum for these operators to do so is FIMMA – Maderalia”.

In Bixquert’s opinion, “times are great for the sector. It has a huge amount of work but, at the same time, there are uncertainties such as rising costs, scarcity of raw materials and supply issues. We are aware of all this, and that is why this March we will be showcasing the most extensive and varied offering on the market”.

Free tickets from exhibitors

FIMMA – Maderalia is putting the finishing touches to a fair that, for the first time, is bringing its trade ticket register into line with the policies of the leading European trade fairs, meaning professionals will be able to obtain free tickets through the invitations that will be sent out by the exhibitors at this edition of FIMMA – Maderalia.

Tickets will also be available to purchase at the venue, priced at 20 € for one day and 40 € for the four days of the fair and may be purchased in advance through the FIMMA – Maderalia website at a 50% discount.

According to the fair’s director,“The move means we are bringing the fair into line with the European standard, which places a value on visiting fairs whilst seeking to avoid what many refer to as ‘aisle exhibitors’ who constitute unfair competition for genuine exhibitors – in this instance those that have invested in FIMMA – Maderalia 2022”.

The fifth edition of the international fair for the functional ingredients, novel foods and end products industry, is now due to take place on 15th and 16th June, following a schedule reset by Barcelona’s International Convention Centre.

Initially planned for February and subsequently moved to October, the fair will now definitely be taking place in June to optimize business opportunities and ensure the event is held in an environment that is completely safe for exhibitors and visitors.

Valencia, 12th January 2022.- Nutraceuticals Europe – Summit & Expo 2022 is now set to take place from 15th to 16th this coming June, after the Barcelona International Convention Centre, which is to host the foremost international fair for the functional ingredients, novel foods and end products industry, re-set its schedule of events.

The adverse way in which the pandemic is evolving and the need to ensure that business can be done in a space that is entirely safe for exhibitors and visitors alike, prompted the move to re-schedule the dates for Nutraceuticals Europe – Summit & Expo 2022, which had originally been due to take place in February.

Initially the event moved to October, as advised in recent communications. However, due to the Barcelona International Convention Centre’s own schedule of events and following consultations with the industry itself, it has been decided that the fair should go ahead in the first half of the year, specifically on 15th and 16th June.

With definitive dates now set, the fair is doubling up on its marketing, with a view to growing and improving its offering and will also be boosting its promotion amongst the various sectors of the industry. València, 22 December 2021 – Cevisama, the international ceramics and bathroom equipment trade fair organised by Feria Valencia, will hold its next edition from 13 to 17 June 2022. This was approved at its meeting this morning by the event’s organising committee after analysing the current context, marked by the negative evolution of the pandemic throughout the world.

Thus, despite the fact that the marketing of the event has been well received by exhibitors and large firms in the sector have confirmed their presence, the event initially scheduled for 7 to 11 February has been postponed until next spring.

“Our aim is for Cevisama to run successfully in terms of economic profitability for our clients and, of course, with the best possible health and safety guarantees. At the moment, this does not seem feasible,” stresses Carmen Álvarez, Cevisama’s director.

“We think that the scenario will be clearer in a few months’ time, with more favourable weather, international vaccination plans already completed and with more travel facilities for international visitors; that is why we are going to double our efforts so that from 13 to 17 June all professionals can celebrate the sector’s great reunion at Feria Valencia”, she assures.

Cevisama 2022 will bring together leading brands from the ceramics, bathroom and natural stone sectors, and will feature novelties such as “Cevisama Tech”, an exclusive area that will showcase the latest solutions in innovation and technology applied to the ceramics industry. In addition, the event will highlight Valencia’s designation as World Design Capital 2022 with the organisation of different cultural activities that will complement the commercial showcase.

In its last edition, held in 2020, Cevisama brought together more than 800 firms and brands and was visited by 90,000 professionals, of which more than 21,000 were foreign visitors.

  • More than 200 companies have already booked their exhibition space at the next edition of the fair, scheduled to run from 29th March to 1st April 2922 at Feria Valencia.
  • FIMMA – Maderalia is intensifying its marketing in response to strong demand from the various segments of the industry, which are keen to exhibit at an event that was not able to take place in 2020 because of the pandemic.
  • The biennial show has also completely re-vamped its website and has digitalised the services it offers to exhibitors and visitors in order to make it easier for them to attend next year’s event at Feria Valencia.

Valencia, 15th November 2021.- FIMMA – Maderalia 2022 is forging ahead. With five months still to go before the fair takes place, from 29th March to 1st April at Feria Valencia, the International Fair for Materials, Technology and Components for Furniture Manufacturing, Interior Design and Contract Projects has already stimulated considerable interest amongst the industries concerned: there has already been strong demand for the exhibition spaces being marketed.

Indeed, as of today, FIMMA – Maderalia has confirmed that more than 200 companies have already booked themselves a space. These include both Spanish and international companies, that will be offering tools, machinery, technology, components, board, and coverings, amongst many other products. All are leading operators in their respective sectors and have welcomed the return of the industry’s foremost biennial fair following FIMMA – Maderalia’s cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The fair is now returning at full strength and against a backdrop of the health situation becoming normal again and international contacts being re-established, and in a broader context of strong growth in the industry fuelled by high demand for services such as refurbishment and fitting out of homes and other environments.

“Trade fairs are the image and reflection of an industry and are needed now more than ever. We all need to bring our information up to date and that is why the dual purpose of fairs – as sales instruments first and, secondly, as meeting points and sources of information – is set to become even more relevant,” explains Miguel Bixquert, director of the two events.

New features to mark the industry coming together again

Even though it will be taking place in the wake of previous success, Fimma – Maderalia 2022 will be refreshing certain elements of its content to ensure that, as a showcase, it reflects the industry’s current needs. It will therefore be featuring a stronger representation of the new materials and components that have appeared over the last few years and have become established as a key part of the industry’s development.

Technological advances will also be a major feature of FIMMA – Maderalia’s offering, both as regards to Industry 4.0 and the launch of different digital platforms that optimize and improve the efficiency of the furniture manufacturing and wood processing industries. Commitment to and investment in sustainability and the environment will as a result be one of the cornerstones of a significant part of the offering on show.

Commitment to digitalization

FIMMA – Maderalia has also taken a step forward in terms of digitalization by re-vamping its website. With its more modern, improved design, the content has been re-structured to make navigating the site easier and reflect users’ needs.

As a result, all services relating to booking stands, booking space and obtaining tickets are being digitalized, as are those that revolve around relations with customers, exhibitors and visitors. The fair has already been incorporated into Feria Valencia’s new Official APP, which is available on Android and iOS platforms and will provide all the information visitors may need to come to the fair.

The event will bring together leading brands from the entire ceramic tile and bathroom sector from 7th to 11th February 2022 at Feria Valencia.

Valencia, 26th October 2021.- Cevisama is forging ahead with preparations for its next edition, which takes place from 7th to 11th February 2022 at Feria Valencia and is set to be the sector’s grand reunion post-pandemic. With the deadline for companies to re-book their spaces now up and with three months still to go until its doors open, the fair already has bookings for more than 90% of the space set aside for the event.

Leading brands from all the sectors of industry involved – manufacturers of ceramic tiles, frits, glazes and colours for ceramic manufacturing; tile-making machinery, bathroom furnishings and other associated sectors – have confirmed their commitment to Cevisama and underscored their confidence that the fair will be a key sales and promotion tool for making new contacts and gaining a competitive edge in the current, complex economic environment.

As Cevisama’s director, Carmen Álvarez, explains, “with the bookings that have been made to date, Cevisama already fills eight of Feria Valencia’s halls. In other words, it will be a wide-ranging, attractive showcase that will be appealing to the demand side of the business both domestically and internationally – everyone is keen to go to a trade fair and see each other”.

New features for 2022 include Cevisama boosting its position as the foremost event for the ceramic tile machinery sector, which will be hosted in a new location next to the hall dedicated to frits, glazes and colours for ceramic manufacturing. Together, the two areas will provide a comprehensive offering from the most cutting-edge providers of technology an innovation for the industry.

The fair will also feature a new style of staging, in line with its new corporate look, along with novel initiatives from Valencia World Design Capital. The initiatives are in fact set to be the first major mass attendance event of Valencia’s year as World Design Capital, 2022, and will not only give the fair greater visibility but also benefit from more institutional support.

Equally, Cevisama’s organisers are dedicating more resources and investment than ever to the buyer recruitment campaigns, to ensure that purchasing professionals from key markets attend the fair, especially those from the traditional markets of Europe and the United States, but also to boost attendance by professionals whose mobility has so far been restricted and who have therefore not attended major face-to-face international events – primarily buyers in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, north Africa, Russia and Latin America. The fair’s director has assured that “We are going to do the impossible so that all these buyers get to Cevisama and see all the new products being shown by our exhibitors”.

As for the domestic market, the fair has signed deals with the distributors’ association, Andimac, with various architects’ and interior designers’ associations and with Valencia World Design Capital, designed to ensure that Spanish buyers and product specifiers attend the fair.

For Cevisama president Manuel Rubert, “the priority for us will be to promote visiting the fair to distributors and architects in the domestic market, because buyers need to know what is going on in the industry, see the products and get to know what the trends are. Also, the restoration and refurbishment plan that has been launched in our country could substantially energize the market and Cevisama will be an obvious driver”.

The international trade fair for plants, flowers, landscaping, technology and garden DIY is “back in bloom” and is receiving major support from the entire industry and the public sector. With just one month to go, a large number of exhibitors have already signed up for Iberflora, which will lead to a powerful trade showcase that the 50th anniversary of the industry’s leading trade fair in Spain very much deserves.

Valencia, 13th September 2021 – Iberflora, the International Trade Fair for Plants, Flowers, Landscaping, Technology and Garden DIY, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a very powerful, eagerly awaited event, which comes on the back of two of the best years the industry has had in recent times.

The event will be held on 5th, 6th and 7th October 2021 at Feria Valencia and will once again coincide with Ecofira, the international energy and environmental solutions trade fair. On its 50th birthday, Iberflora will be located in four pavilions, offering an extremely impressive trade showcase with the participation of companies from across the entire industry, such as technology, plants, florists, garden DIY, and a number of associations. In addition, this year, 40 new exhibitors have signed up, 19 of which are from abroad.

The fair also features an ambitious programme of talks on some of the industry’s hot topics such as biodiversity, green cities, technology, irrigation and water management, and urban gardens.

Thus, just a month before it is due to open its doors, Iberflora is meeting its targets and has the backing of the public sector and the industry, in the shape of companies and associations, as well as gardening and landscaping centres. It has once again become the fair everyone wants to attend and the place to meet and see each other again.

The lack of plants in the European market during the previous year confirms the need for and the participation of foreign buyers. Iberflora is therefore the ideal place to do business. In fact, pre-registration is already up by 23% compared to 2019, and international buyers have already confirmed their attendance. They will all be able to access the list of exhibitors and arrange meetings through the B2B agenda on the Feria Valencia website and app.

The appointment will be held in a 100% face-to-face format and together with the veteran plant and flower contest Iberflora, in a new call for the green sector and environmental solutions.

Ecofira will have a strong institutional presence in the hands of the Ministry of Agriculture and the public companies of the Valencia and Castelló consistories as well as the support of the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP).

Valencia, September 13, 2021.- Ecofira is back. After the environmental event held its last edition in 2019 and after a long period of hiatus forced by the pandemic, a new edition of Ecofira will open its doors at Feria Valencia on October 5. The International Fair of Environmental and Energy Solutions will celebrate its eighteenth edition in a 100% face-to-face format and in a safe space against Covid – 19 such as Feria Valencia.

In addition, the environmental event will repeat the call together with the Iberflora plant, flower, landscaping, technology and DIY garden fair, which this year will celebrate its 50th anniversary in style. It will be the second edition in which both calls are held jointly and consecutively to form a great event around the green sector with a high calling power among professional sectors.

Ecofira: the expected sectoral reunion

After a year without face-to-face fairs, Ecofira is preparing a great sectoral reunion around the latest innovations in waste management, ‘smart cities’, and urban equipment. In this sense, there are numerous companies in the sector that have joined as Ecofira exhibitors, among which the leading entities in waste management and treatment as well as environmental services and products firms stand out.

Ecofira also has strong institutional support, with the active presence in the contest of entities such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition of the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as different public waste management entities such as the EMTRE of the Valencia City Council or RECIPLASA of the Castellón town hall. In addition, Ecofira is also committed to bringing to the municipal world all the innovations and developments around the ‘smart city’ from the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP).

The objective is to cover from different ways the needs of a sector such as the sustainable management of municipalities and cities that in this atypical 2020 have barely had calls to update their knowledge and be fully up to date with the different innovations that have appeared in the market through of the main operators in the sector.

Tickets now available

Professionals from the environmental sector as well as municipal managers and technicians can now download their tickets for the next edition of Ecofira for free. They just have to register at this link and they will receive a pdf with a QR code to access the exhibition directly. It must be remembered that with the entrance to Ecofira, the visitor will also have access to the different pavilions where the Iberflora offer is located.

Cevisama has started to receive the first bookings for space at the 2022 edition of the fair, set to run from 7th to 11th February 2022.  “We are detecting significant interest from the industry to get its most powerful event back. People want Cevisama”, explains the fair’s president, Manuel Rubert.

The fair is also launching its International Buyer Campaign, with a particular focus on the north American market, South America and the European Union.

Valencia, 26rd July 2021.- Cevisama is already in train and the industry is responding enthusiastically. The International Fair for Ceramic Tiles, Bathroom Furnishings and Natural Stone recently opened for new and repeat exhibitors to book space at its 39th edition, which will be taking place from 7th to 11th February next February at Feria Valencia. Over the first few days the response has been “very positive”, according to the fair’s president, Manuel Rubert.

After a whole year, we were detecting interest in the industry in coming to Cevisama” says Rubert, referring to businesses based in Castellón. As he explains, “although it is still early to talk percentages, the first commercial indicators are making us optimistic, as we are receiving a good number of applications to book space. Many of these are returning exhibitors but there is also a significant number of new companies expressing interest in not missing the opportunity to be part of the industry’s first major trade fair in 2022”.

In that regard, Rubert pointed out that the recent “Cevisama ON” series of online lectures had been a “good indicator”. The main trade associations had supported the lectures, which “made it clear that Cevisama needed to be brought back, tailored to the industry’s new needs, which is what we are going to do,” according to the fair’s president.

Ambitious international Campaign

In line with the positive note struck by the start of the sales effort, Cevisama has also launched it International Buyers Campaign, which this time round will focus on those markets that are most attractive to Cevisama’s exhibitors. It should be remembered that Cevisama draws buyers from more than 150 countries together every year, which makes it a very important global focal point for professionals in the industry.

Cevisama 2022 will centre part of its campaign on the United States of America, the European Union and, especially, on South America, which are particularly important markets in the current situation. According to the latest indicators, the United States became the leading destination for exports of Spanish ceramic over this last year, whilst the industry is seeing growing interest in Spanish ceramic in the South America over those from Asia.

A comprehensive offering from the industry

Even so, Cevisama is preparing an edition that is set to showcase the most extensive product offering ever. It will be re-joining the trade fair calendar in an even-numbered year and will therefore be including the full offering of sector-specific machinery and technology. The move will make the Feria Valencia event twice as attractive to international buyers this year as it will be the first on the global calendar of fairs to include machinery and technology.

The product offering at this next Cevisama is also set to be the most innovative and impressive, with all the latest innovations in ceramic floor and wall tiles, frits, glazes, and colours for ceramic on show along with bathroom equipment, ancillary sectors and natural stone forming the biggest and best offering for renovation and construction professionals and for specialists in fitting out communal and other facilities.

Safe space

It is expected that by the time Cevisama takes place, the way the health crisis itself will have evolved, the gradual resumption of a normal trade fair schedule around the world and greater international travel because of progress with vaccination programmes will mean that the Feria Valencia event will roll out normally, to all intents and purposes.

Feria Valencia has nonetheless implemented its Anti-Covid19 Protocol successfully for several face-to-face events. The measures put in place by the Protocol ensure a 100% safe environment for holding trade fairs.

The last edition of Cevisama, in February 2020, welcomed 92,435 visitors, including 21,364 foreign professionals from 156 countries.  The event showcased 847 exhibitors, located across 126,000 square metres of exhibition space. Cevisama receives practical support from partner organisations that include ASCER, ANFFECC, ASEBEC and ASEBAN.

The event will open its doors from Thursday to Saturday to facilitate the visit of professionals from the fashion, footwear, childcare and related products sector from all over the world.
Valencia, July 21, 2021.- BABYKID SPAIN + FIMI, the professional event that brings together in its showcase the largest commercial offer in the universe of childhood, children’s and teen fashion, footwear, childcare and related products, will open its doors at Feria Valencia from January 27 to 29.

In short, a different and innovative event in which business, experience, new ideas, networking can be developed in an “eco & enjoy” environment, taking care of every detail, with spaces that allow a comfortable visit and guarantee the safety of all .

In this sense, Babykid Spain + FIMI wants to pamper its protagonists by offering a free catering service to exhibiting brands and buyers, environments for the care of the little ones or relaxation spaces. The funeral sector contest (20-22 October) will have the support of IVACE to guarantee the presence of international buyers.

Valencia, July 19, 2021.- A more international fair. The next edition of Funermostra, the International Funeral Products and Services Fair, which will celebrate its next edition from October 20 to 22 at Feria Valencia, will strengthen its international profile with the presence of buyers from those markets that are most interesting for the exhibitors at the fair.

This is an initiative that seeks to make it easier for Funermostra exhibitors to interact with a selection of international buyers interested in establishing commercial ties with companies operating in the Spanish market.

The general director of internationalization, Mª Dolores Parra, has given the go-ahead to the initiative, highlighting to the representatives of Funermostra and Feria Valencia, the opportunity of holding this type of reverse missions since companies have access to interesting contacts in the Valencian Community, through Funermostra.

In this sense, it is expected that Valencia will be visited by European professionals from markets such as Germany, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom through the EFFS (European Federation of Funeral Services). In addition, Funermostra is also a meeting point and bridge with the Latin American market, from which various trade missions from countries such as Costa Rica and Mexico will proceed.

To this end, the leading event in our country for the funeral sector will have the support of the Department of Sustainable Economy of the Generalitat Valenciana, through IVACE, in a further boost for the internationalization of the Feria Valencia events and the sectors present in them.

An international contest

At Funermostra all the major companies and associations of the sector will be represented in Spain and in other countries, mainly Portugal, Italy or France, setting up a first-rate commercial showcase. There will also be signatures from the United Kingdom, Mexico, Argentina, Poland, Ukraine, Holland and Denmark for everything related to the funeral business.

Funermostra is preparing in collaboration with the National Association of Funeral Services, Panasef, a complete program of parallel activities that will take place both at the event and in the city of Valencia.

We must remember the international nature of a contest such as Funermostra, which has been held every two years for about 30 years and is recognized as an international fair by the Ministry of Industry, being a brand associated worldwide with the Spanish funeral sector.

The new event will be held together with the Valencia Automobile Fair from December 3 to 5, 2021

València, July 19, 2021.- The Feria Valencia classic vehicle fair is back. The Valencian fairgrounds will host the first edition of the València Motor Classic from December 3 to 5, the classic vehicle and collecting fair that will be held at the Valencia Fair together with the great call for the Automobile Fair.

With this, Feria Valencia recovers for Valencian fans an already classic appointment with the best of classic cars, motorcycles and vehicles. In fact, València Motor Classic gives continuity to different initiatives around this sector that have come together at the Valencian fairgrounds such as the historic Motor Época or the different editions of Retro Auto Moto, more recently and by the hand of an organizer external.

Now, in its own initiative and with the exclusive organization of Feria Valencia, València Motor Classic 2021 is born with the best expectations since it has been very well received by clubs, exhibiting companies and fans in general.

A wide offer around the classic vehicle

The aim is to create a large space with a multitude of content and activities around the classic vehicle. Thus, the València Motor Classic 2021 offer will bring together the exhibition and sale of classic cars and motorcycles, exhibitions of historic brands, ‘Automobilia’ (parts and accessories market), sector magazines and publications, collectible toys and miniatures, classic books and comics , turntables, players, minisystems and records …

In addition, València Motor Classic 2021 is also scheduled to host an ITV inspection area for classic vehicles as well as a parking lot for vehicles in this segment, which will enjoy a discount on entry for cars over 30 years old or V-H registration.

Same entrance of the Automobile Fair

The classic competition will be held together with the ‘big’ edition of the Valencia Automobile Fair and establishing logical synergies between two competitions focused on the motor world and shared by segments of the public. In fact, one of the great attractions for the exhibitor participating in València Motor Classic 2021 is the possibility of accessing the flow of more than 65,000 visitors and buyers who meet each year at the Feria Valencia motor show.

To facilitate this transfer of the public, Feria Valencia will establish a single ticket for both fairs, so that the buyer of the Valencia Automobile Fair will be able to directly enter the Valencia Motor Classic 2021 pavilion, and vice versa.

However, for differences between both contests, València Motor Classic will have a differentiated and exclusive pavilion, while the Valencia Automobile Fair is scheduled to take place in the usual spaces of the Benimàmet fairgrounds.

The Board approves the accounts with a positive ebitda of 195,948 euros

Feria Valencia held a total of 28 fairs and events in 2020, a year marked by the total paralysis of the fair activity worldwide caused by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Until the state of alarm was declared in Spain, Feria Valencia had held a total of eight of its own fairs, including the institution’s most important, Cevisama. Five external events were also held.

With the declaration of the state of alarm, the fair activity was specifically suspended by Spanish legislation. However, coinciding with the improvement in the health situation and when the possibility of holding fairs was opened, Feria Valencia was the first institution in Spain capable of launching two calls in July. They were the Occasion Selection Vehicle Fair and Magic Day by FIMI. Two fairs that largely succeeded in meeting the expectations of visitors and exhibitors.

The second edition will be held from March 4 to 6, 2022 at Feria Valencia with the concept “From the popular comic to the graphic novel” as the axis of content.

València, June 23, 2021.- The Valencia Comic Fair gets underway and has already started preparations for its next edition that will be held at Feria Valencia from March 4 to 6, 2022. The event faces its second edition after the success of its first call in which it reached the figure of more than 25,000 visitors and will do so under the backbone of ‘From the popular comic to the graphic novel’. As in the previous edition, the Show will warm up the engines in the previous weeks through a program of events that will take place in the city and that will culminate in Feria Valencia with its celebration.

Poster with Valencian talent

For this occasion, the organization has counted on the Valencian comic book author Cristina Durán to produce the poster. The illustrator and comic book author, in addition to having a recognizable artistic voice of indisputable quality, has received numerous recognitions throughout her career, such as the 2019 National Comic Award, an award received together with Miguel Ángel Giner and journalist Laura Ballester , for the graphic novel “El día 3”.

The Valencian comic will be the epicenter of the Show

On the other hand, if in its last edition the Show was articulated around the theme of the new paradigm of heroes and villains, this time the backbone concept will be “From the popular comic to the graphic novel”. In this way, Armando Nsue, Director of the Event and Daniel Tomás, Director of Contents propose an approach that allows a broad look at the essence of the comic, its history, its present and its future. An idea that opens up numerous possibilities of content, from the programming of activities, exhibitions, tributes to classic authors, to activities that focus on the future of comics through the digital format.

The Valencia Comic Fair has become, in just one edition, one of the comic events with the most projection today, thanks not only to the public success achieved in its first edition, but also to the respectful position that the event has reserved to the comic, in general, and Valencian, in particular. In this sense, the center of gravity of the Hall will continue to be the comic, especially the Valencian one, both in the content programming and in the pavilion itself, occupying the central space.

Institutions such as the Department of Cultural Action, the Department of Youth of the Valencia City Council, the Comic Chair of the University of Valencia, Associació Editors Pais Valenciá and the Association of Professionals of Valencian Illustration (APIV), have already confirmed their support and participation for this next call

For yet another year, the Comic Book Chair will lead the Valencia Comic Fair Awards 2020. The selection of works and the choice of winners will be carried out by an independent jury of experts that will be formed in September.

The 2-Wheel and VLC Bike’s events are back on the calendar in a 100% face-to-face format, coinciding with the Motorcycle World Championship and at a sweet moment for the two-wheel sector.

València, June 15, 2021.- The Valencia Motorcycle and Bike Show is back. Feria Valencia will host from November 12 to 14 a new edition of the 2 Wheels and VLC Bike’s contests after the impossibility that they could be held last year due to the restrictions of the pandemic.

Now, with a more stable outlook, the normalization of the fair calendar and, above all, the excellent situation that the two-wheel sector is going through, the Organized Committee of the Show – chaired by the commercial director of Ducati Motocorse, José Luis Terranegra – has given the green light to this year’s programming in response to the demand both from the sector itself and, above all, from the thousands of fans who attend the event each year.

Both appointments return in a 100% face-to-face format and in accordance with the regulations that are present next November. In this sense, it must be taken into account that Feria Valencia has a strict anti-Covid protocol that fully guarantees the safety of both exhibitors and visitors, as has been demonstrated in the face-to-face calls that have already been held at the fairgrounds of Benimàmet.

In addition, 2 Wheels and VLC Bike’s will repeat the formula for the success of their combination with the Motorcycle Grand Prix, the last round of the World Championship, which will be held at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana de Cheste and which this year will also be held with the public in the steps.

New pavilions

One of the great novelties of the next edition of 2 Wheels and VLC Bike’s will be the celebration of both events in two pavilions of Level 2 of Feria Valencia after being held in the last editions in Hall 7. With this, the Motorcycle Show and the Bike guarantee maximum comfort and access for the visitor, who will access comfortably through the Feria Valencia Center Forum, and will also facilitate the availability of covered and free parking for all fans who come with their motorbike to the fair.

Excellent moment for the two-wheel market

The Show returns this year at an unbeatable situation for both the motorcycle and bike sectors. The new mobility habits motivated by the pandemic have caused a real ‘boom’ in the two-wheel market. Thus, in the case of motorcycles and according to the latest ANESDOOR statistics, in the first five months of the year a total of 6,395 motorcycles were registered in the Valencian Community, which represents 58.7% more than the same period of the year. last year. In the case of mopeds, the increase is 77.5% to 898 units.

For its part, the bicycle is also registering record figures. According to the study carried out by AMBE and Cofidis, in 2020, more than 1.5 million bicycles were sold in Spain, an increase of 24.10% compared to the previous year. The most popular bicycle model is still the mountain bike, but the greatest increases have been registered in electric models (+ 48.9%) and urban (+ 46.4%).

A fully consolidated Hall

Both 2 Wheels and VLC Bike’s are two fully consolidated events in the sector’s national fair scene and recognized as a direct business and sales platform both by the brands themselves and by the exhibiting dealers. In its last edition of 2019, the Show beat its own number of attendees with more than 19,000 registered visitors, which was 12% more than the previous edition. The event welcomed the offer of 133 brands and motorcycle and bike brands, in a showcase of more than 20,000 square meters of exhibition space.

The event kicks off the marketing of its next event, from November 9 to 11 in Madrid, with excellent prospects thanks to the collaboration of two major associations, ASFEL and AEFIMIL, and the growth of the sector.

Hygienalia 2021 also presents its new campaign image, more modern and dynamic and which reflects the inclusive vocation of the event around all sectors that are part of this industry.

Valencia, December 3, 2020.- Hygienalia 2021 gets underway. The main professional meeting of the cleaning sector that is held in our country has already scheduled its next celebration, from November 9 to 10 at the Palacio de Cristal of the Casa de Campo in Madrid and has started its marketing period with excellent prospects.

In fact, this will be a very special edition for Hygienalia since it has incorporated as a promoter of the fair and together with the management of the cleaning and hygiene products sector ASFEL its counterpart in the sector of manufacturers and importers of industrial and cleaning machinery, AEFIMIL.

In this sense, it is a very important step for Hygienalia since it strengthens the industrial machinery sector in its showcase to offer, in this way, the professional visitor a very wide and complete showcase with a 360-degree global vision around to all sectors of cleaning and professional hygiene.

New image for 2021

In line with this, Hygienalia has presented its new campaign image in which it reflects, precisely, the evolution of the contest. Designed by the Department of Marketing and Communication of Feria Valencia, the image is committed to enhancing this integrating spirit of Hygienalia 2021 through the union of shapes and colors and the use of the slogan ‘Working Together’ (working together).

The objective of the next edition of Hygienalia is to continue on the path of growth registered in the last editions. In this sense, the appointment has happened in the last four editions to duplicate practically all its parameters. In the last appointment, for example, Hygienalia welcomed the offer of 141 exhibitors, 22 of which foreign exhibitors, and received the visit of 6,264 professionals from the ‘Horeca’ channel, the food industry, ‘facility services’, the health sector, pharmaceutical industry, service stations or public facilities and equipment.

Hygienalia 2021 is organized by Feria Valencia and promoted by ASFEL, Association of Spanish Manufacturers of Cleaning and Hygiene Products, and AEFIMIL, Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Industrial Machinery and Cleaning.

The new business platform is set to take place from 10th to 12th November and will feature companies from both the interiors and home textiles sectors in a modified exhibition format complemented by a programme of international B2B meetings.

Valencia, 23st July 2020.- Feria Valencia has devised a new event, ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT & HOME TEXTILES PREMIUM VLC 2020, a new trade fair that will be taking place this year to fill the gap created by the usual versions of Feria Hábitat Valencia and Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar having been postponed until September 2021. These two fairs have driven the creation of the new event, which is scheduled to run from 10th to 12th this coming November at Feria Valencia. The format for the three-day (Tuesday-Thursday) event has been modified in line with the current, post-Covid, market situation.

ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT & HOME TEXTILES PREMIUM VLC 2020 is being supported by the industry’s main trade associations, which have applauded the communal effort invested in creating the platform. Public bodies are also backing the initiative as they seek to reactivate the sector’s manufacturing and other businesses. The initiative is also being helped along by Anieme – Mueble de España, Fedai – Lighting from Spain and Ateval – Home Textiles From Spain, as well as by ICEX and the Generalitat Valenciana through IVACE Internacional. València World Design Capital 2022 is also backing the new initiative.

Reactivating the sector

The aim, as requested by exhibitors at both events, is to fill the gap created this year by both Hábitat and Textilhogar having been postponed until next year, with a new platform that will enable the sector to present its new products in an easy, flexible, affordable format and just at the right time for companies in the interiors and home textiles sector to do business.

According to the companies themselves, sales are growing rapidly because of how consumers have changed their habits and behaviours following months of lockdown. The home has become a priority for consumers and, as a result, everything relating to the home and furnishing it is now much closer to being front of mind.

Equally, November is the ideal month for revamping the showcases ahead of the 2021 season and for interiors and textiles exhibitors to show off the new products they have been unable to present thus far because of the Paris and Milan fairs not taking place.

Options for taking part

In the light of current circumstances, the new sales platform has been designed to respond to the unique requirements of the 2020 marketplace. ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT & HOME TEXTILES PREMIUM VLC 2020 thus offers a flexible format for participating that is easy and affordable and means that all exhibitors need worry about is exhibiting their products. A range of turnkey stands will be available at rates that are fully inclusive of all associated costs.

The format of the fair will be very much focused on B2B between exhibitors and visitors and will also respond to the needs of professionals by offering the facility to concentrate business meetings with suppliers into a single visit, thereby avoiding travel to factories and shops.

International business meetings

ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT & HOME TEXTILES PREMIUM VLC 2020 will also be offering scheduled meetings with international buyers, centred on ‘secure’ markets such as those of the European Union and third countries that have operational connections with Spain. The organisers of the fairs are already setting up meetings for buyers from a number of markets including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as Algeria, Australia, Canada, South Korea, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, New Zealand, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay.

Schedule of face-to-face / virtual events

Digitalization will be another cornerstone of the new ‘Ágora Encuentros Hábitat VLC’ platform and will reflect the new requirements and the new environment. The programmes of meetings with international buyers will therefore also include a “digital diary” of meetings with buyers who are not able to attend the fair.

Digital will also play a significant part in the fair’s programme of events. It will be posting the schedule of product launches, talks and discussions online, including those related to ‘València 2022 World Design Capital’, Foro Hábitat and Foro Textilhogar.

The city of Valencia, for its part, will again be an active part of the fair: it has confirmed that the full programme of exhibitions and showrooms that comprise ‘València Design Week’ will be staged at the same time as Ágora encuentros. ‘València Design Week’ is an initiative that rolls out in Valencia and is organized by the Comunitat Valenciana Association of Designers (ADCV).

Feria Valencia, a safe venue

ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT & HOME TEXTILES PREMIUM VLC 2020 will be taking place in a completely safe environment: Feria Valencia. In fact, the Valencia complex was the first of Spain’s major exhibition venues to host trade fairs again following months of pandemic. Over the weekend of 10th to 12th July it hosted a consumer fair, the Feria del Automóvil (Automobile Fair) and a children’s fashion trade fair, Día Mágico by FIMI, both to resounding success

A precedent has definitely been set, with Feria Valencia establishing itself as one of the safest venues in which to stage events such as ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT & HOME TEXTILES PREMIUM VLC 2020. As regards safety, the Anti-Covid19 Safety Protocol sets out a series of very strict measures including the compulsory use of face masks, hand sanitizer, double temperature checks, one-way entrances and exits and new ventilation and disinfection systems.

The fair is moving the edition slated for this September to 2021 in response to the industry’s request for a break from the fair’s usual format on account of the Covid-19 crisis.

At the express request of a number of exhibitors, Feria Valencia will be hosting a new event, ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT VLC, this coming November. Set to be an exceptional, unique event, it will be on a scale and at prices that reflect the current circumstances and will focus on brand’s newest products.

Valencia, 24th June 2020.- Hábitat is re-arranging its schedule. The 56th edition of the leading event for the ‘made in Spain’ interiors industry will not be taking place this coming September as planned but will instead be staged as a new event in November: a commercial platform styled ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT VLC that will offer a specific format for participating. Whilst more limited in size than the usual fair, it will fill the gap this year until Feria Hábitat Valencia returns in September 2021 as a fully-fledged fair.

The decision was taken in response to repeated requests from both exhibitors and the furniture and lighting sectors in general, which had told the Hábitat team over the last few weeks that it would be impossible to stage the fair in the same way as it has been staged in recent years.

Companies have expressed concern over the complex situation the industry is currently facing following months of lockdown and closed factories and shops, as well as how little time would have been available to prepare for a fair the size of Hábitat. Added to that is the uncertainty still prevalent in the international marketplace that could impact attendance by buyers from key markets such as Russia and Asia.

This is why, as the fair’s director Daniel Marco explains, “the trade has opted for the return of a stronger Hábitat in 2021 that will offer both exhibitors and visitors greater assurances of doing business. This is in line with what is has happened with the industry’s other big trade fairs in Europe, which have postponed until next year “.

A new event in November

Many exhibitors however, particularly those that operate in the designer and cutting-edge segments of the market, have signalled to the Hábitat team that there is a need to have event in 2020 where they can present the new products they had intended showing at fairs such as Milan before summer or the Valencia and Paris fairs in September.

Feria Valencia has responded to this demand by creating a new sales and exhibition platform: ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT VLC. Whilst the event has been devised within the framework of Feria Hábitat Valencia it will be a one-off, running this year only and with a specific format tailored to what the industry has demanded and to the current post-Covid-19 environment.

ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT VLC will be taking place this coming November and will offer companies and brands wanting to present their latest products ahead of the 2021 season a simple, dynamic, user-friendly format for taking part. “As an event, it will be designed to facilitate B2B meetings between exhibitors and buyers and, in consonance with the new reality of the trade fair, events and congress industry, will be highly digitalized,” Marco explains.

What is more, ÁGORA ENCUENTROS HÁBITAT VLC will be a latest generation sales platform with significant added value. It has the support of institutions such as the Generalitat Valencia (Valencia Regional Government), IVACE Internacional and ICEX along with bodies such as Anieme and designers’, interior designers’ and architects’ trade associations. The city’s designation as València 2022 World Design Capital will also provide a substantial boost to the initiative.

The Feria Hábitat Valencia team is already working on putting together and launching the new event, “which will help drive the industry forward and will also be the launchpad for the great fair that Feria Hábitat València 2021 is sure to be”, according to its director, Daniel Marco.

Temperature checks, hand sanitiser stations, wider aisles and bigger stands will facilitate social distancing whilst as many halls as necessary to enable exhibitors and visitors to adjust to the new regulations will be opened.

Feria Valencia is set to digitalize all communication with visitors and exhibitors and eliminate paper altogether. It will also be introducing a system for disinfecting all large surfaces, together with ventilation and air renewal systems.

Valencia, 10th June 2020.- Feria Valencia is introducing a strict Safety Protocol that includes all the health, hygiene and safety measures and systems that will be implemented for all upcoming fairs, events and congresses. The Protocol is in line with the regulatory framework introduced by the WHO and the Spanish Government and also reflects the work undertaken jointly by the Asociación de Ferias Españolas (AFE, Spanish Trade Fairs Association) and the UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). The aim is to ensure that Feria Valencia is a space that provides workers, suppliers, exhibitors and visitors with full protection from Covid-19.

On a general level, Feria Valencia will be implementing enhanced disinfection of all surfaces that are touched continually as part of an ongoing general cleaning process throughout the venue. It has also installed an air renewal system that works through the ventilation systems and will also be introducing a range of specific systems designed to disinfect large spaces.

Upon arrival at the venue, visitors will be required to have their temperature checked and face masks and hand sanitizer will be available at each of the entrances. In addition, queues at the entrances will be eliminated by making the spaces and entrances bigger, whilst delivering the obligatory facility for social distancing.

Inside the halls, the exhibition areas will be arranged so as to lower the density of stands and numbers of visitors and the aisles will be widened sufficiently to reduce visitor density. Feria Valencia has seven halls and entrances and more than 250,000 m2 of exhibition space that can be used to make it easier to spread visitors out.

In the case of events, congresses and parallel events, the Protocol also provides for checks on the number of people in the various rooms together with deep cleaning of the rooms after each time they are used. Attendees will also be able to follow the events via telematic media that will offer interactive facilities.

Investing in digitalization

Another of the most notable measures being introduced is Feria Valencia’s investment in fully digitalizing its relationship with both its exhibitors and its visitors. To prevent the risk of contagion, there will be no hard copies of floor plans, visitor guides, exhibitor lists, notices of parallel events or schedules of events. All of these sources of information will be centralized in an Official App that is already up and running and that will enable visitors and exhibitor to access all of the information with a single click.

Feria Valencia will also be enhancing the signage throughout the venue, including the directional signage, to make it easier and safer for people to find their way around. The fair will also be digitalizing lectures, events and presentations and making them available on telematic media.

The Protocol also sets out the steps to be taken should a suspected case of Covid-19 be detected. A procedure has been put in place to isolate suspected cases and the existing medical service will be reinforced permanently at Feria Valencia.

Feria Valencia has set up a specific micro-site within its website that sets out all the health and safety measures and protocols the institution is introducing across the venue and its fairs and other events. Full information on these measures, which ensure that Feria Valencia is a 100% safe venue, can be viewed at https://www.feriavalencia.com/espacio-seguro/.

Design consultancy Odosdesign reshapes Feria Hábitat València’s corporate identity giving it a “more modern” look “with more character and more in tune with Hábitat’s standing as one of the industry’s leading events.”

Hábitat’s sales team has already started taking repeat and fresh bookings for stands with “excellent prospects” for occupation levels.

València, 28 November 2019.- The new look created by Valencia design consultancy Odosdesign for the next edition of Feira Hábitat València is fresher, more modern, and marks the fair’s clear commitment to design. The fair for ‘made in Spain’ interiors, already confirmed as taking place from 22nd to 25th September next year at Feria Valencia, has taken its corporate identity forward “at what,” according to the consultancy, “is a key time for Feria Hábitat València, positioned as it is as one of the world’s leading international fairs for furniture and lighting. The new look marks a further step forward, giving the event a refreshed corporate identity that reflects its expansion and global presence”.

The typography chosen for the new identity is a sans-serif typeface family, with slight contrasts in thickness in the strokes and distinct right angles on some of their parts or extensions. According to the designers, “The typographic contrasts used reflect the diversity of companies that exhibit at the fair, long-established brands with more classic lines on the one hand and, on the other, younger brands that are more daring. All these different features have enabled us to create a very visual, quite unique identity that reflects the strength of Feria Hábitat València and the fact that it has been around for a long time and is solid.”

Similarly, “the brand will make a strong visual impact in each of the different ways it is appied, with the colours and symbol, which was created from the acronym for the fair, being more prominent.” For Odosdesign, “Feria Hábitat València lives and breathes design and is here to stay.”

This will be the third time that Hábitat has partnered with and been supported on the creative front by design consultancy Odosdesign. The multi-disciplinary team led by Ana Segovia and Luis Calabuig defines itself as an integrated design agency specializing in product design and communication and that strongly believes in design’s ability to help companies improve and define their own path with every action they take. They work on a regular basis with leading international companies and have won a number of prizes including, most notably, the Red Dot Award and the Laus de Bronce.

Sales drive begins

The launch of Hábitat’s new look also marks the start of the sales drive for the next edition of the fair. On the back of 65,000 square metres of space having been booked last time round and occupied by more than 500 companies and brands, the organisers have set very ambitious targets for 2020. The fair will appeal on multiple fronts next year as Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar will be running at the same time, showcasing a select offering of home textiles, upholstery, décor and products for the contract sector.

The fair has grown by more than 30% every year for the past three years and has stated that its objective is to consolidate its leading position by increasing its offering, the number of foreign visitors who attend and the involvement of the contract sector.

32,796 professionals visited the most recent edition this past September, with the number of international visitors rising by 31%.

Next year’s Feria Hábitat Valencia will be taking place at Feria Valencia at the same time as Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar.

Valencia, 14th November 2019.- The countdown to the next Feria Hábitat Valencia has begun.  The next edition of the foremost trade fair for ‘made in Spain’ interiors and the country’s main platform for Spain’s industry to target international markets is slated to run from 22nd to 25th September next year at Feria Valencia. With these dates Habitat is consolidating its September slot and its position as the leading fair for the industry taking place in the second half of the year, a formula for success that has delivered over 30% growth in every aspect of the event each year since 2017.

The dates for Hábitat 2020 have been chosen strategically: the fourth week of September exploits the opportunities the global trade fair calendar offers and the window it opens up for new exhibitors, buyers and specifiers to attend from markets such as the European Union and Asia.

In fact, according to Daniel Marco, the fair’s director, “the objective we have set ourselves for the next edition is to consolidate Hábitat’s leadership as the main business platform for ‘made in Spain’ interiors vis-à-vis both the domestic and the international markets.” To do this, he explains, “the way forward for us is to expand our showcase – which is currently a unique event in Spain – and promote the value it delivers through the presence of prestigious companies and brands that are industry benchmarks, such as the Italian manufacturers, which we fully expect will exhibit in greater numbers.”

Marco also anticipates that Hábitat 2020 will see the haute décor section represented differently, focusing more on exclusivity and luxury and including exhibitors that offer high end decorative and gift products.

The contract sector and international markets

Hábitat 2020 is also poised to be even more international and to turn a special spotlight on the world of contracts and project specifying. “We need to evolve towards being a fair that delivers high levels of added value. What our customers are asking for, on the one hand, is an offering that ranges across all levels of the business and includes a significant presence of the contract and project specifying business,” explains director Daniel Marco.

Another objective is to substantially increase the fair’s international profile. “This is one of our identifying features,” Marco adds, “Exhibitors come to Hábitat because it offers them the possibility to grow their portfolio of international customers, whilst exposing them to new export markets. We need to go further down that route and make more inroads in areas such as the European Union, Sub-Saharan Africa (the Maghreb) and even Asia, which are very attractive markets for our manufacturers.”

Final figures for the latest edition

The number of foreign buyers attending this last edition of the fair was 30% up on the previous year, with the most marked increase seen in the numbers of buyers from Portugal (+52%), France (+31%), Italy (+97%), Belgium (+94%) and the United States (+25%). International visitors accounted for 15% of the 32,796 professionals who visited this most recent Hábitat, a 25% rise on the previous year.

As to visitors from Spain, the final figures compiled by the event organisers show a distinct increase in the number of buyers hailing from the north of Spain – especially from regions such as Navarra, Cantabria, Euskadi and La Rioja – as well as a rise of more than 25% in the number of visitors from Catalonia, Madrid and Aragón. This latest edition of Hábitat showcased offerings from 503 exhibitors in all, both companies and brands, across a total area of 65,000 square metres.

Alongside Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar

Another new feature of next year’s show is that it will be running concurrently with Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar, the textile trade fair that is returning to Feria Valencia after five editions in Madrid. Habitat visitors will thus also be able to see the full offering from the leading brands in home textiles, upholstery and décor.

Hábitat’19 is all ready to go. Valencia is celebrating its recent designation as Design Capital of the World with the biggest edition of Feria Hábitat Valencia of recent years, opening this Tuesday at Feria Valencia.

The furniture, lighting and decor fair will be hosting the offering of over 500 exhibitors – 21% more than last year – following a 45% increase in the space occupied, which this year is 65,000m2. 25,000 professionals are expected to visit, from 65 countries.

Outdoor table that use solar energy, voice-assisted folding beds and designs by Patricia Urquiola, Marcel WandersandChristophePilletare just some of the innovations on show.

Valencia, 15th September 2019.-Nobody will want to miss Feria Hábitat Valencia 2019. Not even the World Design Organization which, having just a few days ago designated Valencia the Design Capital of the World 2022is joining the best Feria Hábitat Valencia of recent years. The fair runs from 17th to 20th this month and will be the first major event that the Mediterranean city has celebrated winning an accolade that no other Spanish city has ever been awarded.

It is in the context of this exciting news that Hábitat will be opening its doors on Tuesday. The furniture, décor and lighting event will be showcasing products from 503 international companies and brands, a 21% increase on last year’s number. Habitat has also grown exponentially in terms of the amount of space dedicated to the exhibits which, at 65,000m2, is 45% up on last year.

What this means for the fair as a whole is that it will be occupying the four halls on Feria Valencia’s Level 2, plus two full halls on the Benimàmet venue’s Level 3. As a result of this expansion there will be twice as many design and cutting edge exhibitors and a 35% bigger offering from modern and upholstered furniture and bedroom furniture suppliers.

Foreign exhibitor number 50% up

The Fair is also representing more areas of Spain and more foreign countries this year. Of the total number of companies and brands taking part, 36% are based in the ComunitatValenciana (28% more than last year), whilst 40% are from the rest of the country (12% up on 2019). There is also a significantly higher percentage of foreign manufacturers and brands than last year. These are high-level operators from Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

As to visitor numbers, the expectation is optimistic. The fair’s organisers have doubled the number of guests invited to take part in the International Buyers Mission and has sent more than 1800 invitations direct to buyers and specifiers in as many as 65 countries. This number is in addition to the drive launched by trade associations Anieme and Fedai, with support from IVACE Internacional and IVEX, who have equally confirmed that importers of furniture, decorative items and lighting will be coming to the fair from all over the world next week. The rate of ticket bookings has increased too over the last few weeks, with the number 15% up on last year.

Production and exports of furniture on the rise

The fair is taking place against a positive backdrop too, with the furniture industry appearing resilient in the face of the global economic slowdown. Figures from the Observatorio Español del Mercado del Mueble(Spanish Furniture Market Observatory) at theInstituto Tecnológico AIDIMME (AIDIMME Technology Institute) indicatethat furniture manufacturing was worth 4,483 million euros in 2018, 2.7% up on the previous year.

Exports, for their part, are still the driving force of the industry, achieving sustained growth. According to ANIEME, exports of Spanish furniture rose 5.3% in the first half of 2019, exceeding 1,131 million euros in value. The figures are even better for the ComunitatValenciana, which exported 281.8 million euros-worth of furniture in the first six months of the year – a 10.2% increase on last year.

Solar tables and international design

The fair will be showing a good number of innovations, new collections and solutions for interiors and home furnishings. These include the latest creations by international figures such as Patricia Urquiola, ChristophePillet, Jasper Morrison, Marcel Wanders, Jaime Hayón, Gabriel Teixidó, Francesc Rifé, Ximo Roca, Mario Ruizand the eternalVicent Martínez.

The exhibitors, too, will be hoping to stunthe market with innovations that combine the latest in design with new technology. One example is a Valencia based manufacturer showing an outdoor table that works using solar energy, with built-in solar panels and sockets to plug electronic devices into.  Also on show at Hábitat are bedrooms for youngsters featuring folding beds with mechanisms activated by voice assistants such as Siri and Amazon’s Alexa.

Ecology and sustainability also play a major part in the innovations on show at Hábitat.  These include mattresses that feature a special fabric that eliminates electromagnetic frequencies from mobile phones and reclaimed plastic from the Mediterranean recycled into designer mattresses.

Another key item on the agenda for the week is the series of lectures being delivered in the Ágora nude on Level 3 and that will address the relationship between contract projects, design and interior design, and digital challenges and the consumer’s experience. Hábitat also features a retrospective exhibition of the work of Valencian architectRamón Esteve that includes his most significant pieces of work, as well as a cycle of conferences and professional meetings organized by Anieme together with Amazon about digital commerce and its application to the furniture sector.

The fifth edition of Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar takes place next week, 11th-13th September, at Madrid’s Caja Mágica. Bringing 68 exhibitors together showing products from some 170 Spanish and Portuguese manufacturers and brands, this is Spain’s only 100% trade fair for the industry.

The fair has further enhanced both its international profile and the quality of the exhibitors and is driving new routes to market forward such as the contract channel, represented for the second time in a dedicated event styled ‘EL Cubo’.

The Valencia Regional Government’s Minister for Sustainable Economy, Manufacturing, Trade and Employment, Rafael Climent, will perform the official opening of the fair next Wednesday at 12.00.

Valencia, 9th September 2019.- Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is all ready to go. The fifth edition of Spain’s foremost event for the home textiles, upholstery and decor industry, which runs next week, is aiming to outperform previous years in terms of the quality of its offering, product innovation and facilitating new business, especially through segments of the market such as the contract sector and by opening up new international marketplaces.

The fair features 68 Spanish and Portuguese exhibitors showing 169 brands. The companies have been granted space in line with strict quality parameters so that the fair is a showcase of the best the market has to offer in textiles for the home, upholstery and décor. All will be showing the latest designs and trends such as technical textiles, mite resistant textiles and fabrics made from new materials such as jute and 100% recycled cotton. This year, the exhibitors are also showing a raft of designs that feature birds as the main motif, along with vintage styles, tropical designs and designs inspired by Mexican culture.

Another major feature is the latest in bed linen, made-to-measure curtains and sofa covers that reflect the new trends and designs. Courtesy of the exhibitors, the fair is also the place to see the new collections of fabrics for children and for nurseries as well as memory foam pillows and the most innovative upholstery fabrics.

Textiles in the contract market

As well as showing a quality offering, the fair has focused on delivering great added value in two particular areas: the contract sector and international development. In line with this focus, Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is once again staging the ‘El Cubo’ contract space, an exclusive area where specifiers will have the opportunity to see the latest designs in textiles for contract projects as well a number of simulations of hotel rooms furnished by eminent designers and interior designers including Ornella Carrillo, Inés Abramián and Ana Paul.

Visitors to the fair will also be able to enjoy a packed programme of events, the highlight of which is the series of lectures scheduled for Thursday 12th September. Being delivered in the ‘~El Cubo’ Lecture Zone and hosted by AITEX, the lectures will focus on issues such as the intelligent home of the future and the role of industrial textiles and trends in the hotel, restaurant and retail sectors.

In addition, design professionals including Roberto Bebo of Nábito Estudio de Arquitectura, Ornella Carrillo herself, Víctor Medina and Galir Martínez-Barros of LeMoBba Architects will be taking part in discussions and giving talks that will review the advantages of digital wallpaper and its applications for the contract sector, courtesy of Digitalwalls, or case histories such as manufacturer La Tapicera.

This year the fair also includes a session on strategic marketing for the point of sale, led by expert Ricardo Palomares. Taking place over the morning of Wednesday 12th Sepember the session is targeted at an audience of home textile distributors and retailers, will also include customised advice.

Internationalization drive: buyers set to attend the fair from 35 countries

Opening up foreign markets and the search for new markets are also focal points for this edition of the fair. The number of countries invited to take part in the guest visitor programme has been increased, with the result that a substantial group of top international buyers and specifiers is set to attend from 35 different markets. Each one is a professional with considerable power in purchasing or specifying in the field of contract projects and all have been selected as part of the fair’s International Guest Buyers programme, which is co-ordinated by trade association

ATEVAL – Home Textiles from Spain and supported by IVACE Internacional and ICEX.

It is worth pointing out that Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is Europe’s foremost fair for the industry that takes place in the second half of the year, as is evidenced by the high level of interest in the fair amongst international buyers.

The event runs from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th September at the Caja Mágica in Madrid. Opening hours are 09.00 to 19.00 each day except the last day, Friday, when the show closes at 18.00.
