The Spanish Society of Oncologic Radiotherapy chose Feria Valencia Convention & Exhibition Centre to celebrate its 18th National Congress. Under the slogan “Precise and customized cancer treatment”, around 900 professionals in radiation oncology (oncologists, technicians and nurses) met to update knowledge and analyze the latest developments.

For this purpose they organised an extensive programme of presentations, working groups, exhibitions, etc., which will occupy almost the whole of the Convention & Exhibition Centre, a venue of 8 000 square metres distributed over four floors and 20 rooms.

The modern facilities equipped with the best services gathered the best professionals of the oncology industry: Dr. Leoncio Arribas, Head of the Oncological Department of the Valencian Insitute of Oncology was the President of the Local Organising Committee of this Congress celebrated between the 4th and 6th of June .

Thursday 4th , at 12:30, was the official opening of the Congress. The main topic of the opening session: “Brachytherapy: evolution and prospects”, was borne by Dr. José Pérez Calatayud, at Hospital Universitari Valencian i La Fe Politècnic of Valencia (chosen in the year 2014 as one of the best 50 physicians around the world).

More than 5,500 attendees to Vetusta Morla´s extraordinary concert. Feria Valencia´s Auditorio turned into a first level tour arena , the group loved the Valencian public and made them jump with their latest songs.

It was the own Pucho, singer of Vetusta Morla, who said that it had been a very special concert and that they were thus living above the stage.

More than two hours of music and spectacle that confirmed Feria valencia´s Auditorio as a unique space for large national tours.

The Manga show became the center of the Japanese world lovers once again at Feria Valencia.

A 15th Edition that achieved all the objectives and expectations with a plethora of activities during the weekend.

Dance contest, video games, books, comics, demonstrations, workshops and cosplay were some of the main activities that everyone enjoyed attending this Japanese culture event.

Children also had their role, with several proposals dedicated to them expressly.

Feria Valencia hosts twice a year this meeting, consolidated as the big regional Japanese culture event.

Electroweekend is preparing the next show. The well-known festival is facing a big change this year moving its location from Benidorm to Valencia, to the impressive facilities of Feria Valencia, one of the largest exhibition centres in Europe. Thus, during May 1st and 2nd, Pavilion 5 of the Valencian venue will transfor itself to host the best electronic music. Pavilion 5 has a capacity for 12 000 attendees and which complies with all the requirements and guarantees to make the festival a success.

Not in vain, Feria Valencia has welcomed numerous similar events with excellent results, from top-level national touring concerts to music festivals and major shows. After Electroweekend and also during the month of May, the facilties will host the concerts from “Vetusta Morla” and “El Barrio”.

Electroweekend will present in Feria Valencia a production focused on a unique scenario that will concentrate all the performances of the Festival for both days. A scenario of more than 30 meters in which special importance will be given to production and sound, where more than 100,000 watts will be featured , together with the visual part, which will have equal importance within the assembly of the festival, with an L.E.D. display of more than 120 square meters.

According to the organisers, the festival will focus on the most demanded style by his followers, techno music , and will feature a line-up “with great force”, offering one of the most powerful cartels that can be found at the international level.

sergio-arias-ramon-1534Feria Valencia Convention & Exhibition Centre hosted the second edition of the Diabetes Experience Day, an initiative that was held on February 14 and which brought together more than one thousand people. Throughout the day, participants were able to learn a little more from this disease during the session of Endocrines Dr. Javier Ampudia or Dr. Beatriz Cuartero, even listent peculiar histories of patients with diabetes who have shown that their disease does not limit them at all. This is the case of the ironman Antonio Ortega or the first astronaut with diabetes Josu Feijoo. Nutritionists, nurses, and various professionals who work daily with patients with diabetes contributed their experience to attendees.

Moreover, Experience Day Kids counted with the participation of 80 children. In a side event, children aged between 4 and 14 years participated in educational workshops, demonstrations, sports activities and competitions so children could enjoy an experience intended for them.

Feria Valencia has been chosen once again by the Organisation to host  the exhibition, which has been celebrated in Feria Valencia since its first edition; the trend of the fair is to grow year after year. During the four annual editions of BioCultura, the exhibition receives almost 170 000 visitors, of which thousands are exhibitors. Almost one thousand parallel activities are created during the show. And,  if this weren’t enough, BioCultura is a fair organized by the NGO Asociation Vida Sana, an entity that does not depend on public subsidies and is completely independent economically.

 Feria Valencia has been chosen as perfect setting to celebrate one of the five mega-gig concerts that Vetusta Morla will play in 2015, as the band communicated in the last press conference. In this new tour through “big venues”, the group will represent live La Deriva.

 

As the organisation explains, “the band will perform in several venues where we have never played before such as the International Trade Fair of Valencia, Barcelona San Jordi Club, Bilbao Exhibition Centre and Seville’s Olympic Stadium.” In total, counting with the show in Barclaycard Center of Madrid, the group will play for more than 40 000 fans in these five concerts.

 

The concert in Feria Valencia will be the 16th of May 2015 in Pavilion 5, a space where other great national and international music appointments have been celebrated, such as Depeche Mode, Black Lotus Festival and the last Armin Only show.

 

Since its launch on the 8th of April, over 20 000 copies of the third album of Vetusta Morla have been sold  with the production of Pequeño Salto Mortal, a record company founded by the band to self-publish their work. Since the beginning of October more than 21 000 copies of this album have been sold, figure recognised by Promusicae.

Exteriores Noche Centro EventosŠKODA chose Feria Valencia to present worldwide the new model of Fabia . From 14th to 25th October, the facilities hosted the World Dealer Conference, an international meeting point that has presented the new Fabia ŠKODA to car dealers from more than 100 different countries.

Skoda has welcomed between 400 – 500 guests daily coming from 5 different continents within 10,000 square metres in Pavilion 5 of Feria Valencia. In total, 4.600 representatives of dealers and suppliers of Skoda visited Valencia, as well as customers of the car industry.

For presenting the new car model the company used the spectacular Feria Valencia Convention & Exhibition Centre together with Pavilion 5, and the large landscaped Plaza outside the main entrance of the exhibition facilities.

Feria Valencia will demonstrate once again the venue’s capacity and versatility , and its know-how in the field of major events.

Furthermore, the presentation of Skoda had also an impact on Valencia city of more than EUR 10 million and the visit of thousands of professionals with high purchasing power, who enjoyed the good weather and gastronomy of the Mediterranean city.

cartel-smv-14-2014bThe Japanese culture was the main feature this weekend in Feria Valencia. Pavilions 6bis and 6 of the fairgrounds hosted the 14th Manga Show edition, which opened last Saturday morning at 10 in the morning until 21 hours non-stop. (on Sunday, the show closed at 20:00 hours).

A myriad of activities are scheduled for this edition. Including a “demonstration of art concept  and illustration for video games using tools and digital tablets in record time”, which will be borne by the Illustrator and artist Paco Rico and which will take place on Saturday afternoon. And on Sunday, the mangaka Kike Alapont, from 10 to 12:15 hours, will be demonstrating digital manga drawing for the younger.

EMPRENDE2013Feria Valencia será un año más el escenario del “Día de la Persona Emprendedora”, una iniciativa que en su novena edición reunirá a más de 650 entidades e instituciones con el fin de apoyar a los emprendedores y promover la creación de nuevas empresas. La macrojornada tendrá lugar el próximo jueves 27 de noviembre  en el pabellón 5 y Centro de Eventos del recinto ferial valenciano.

Feria Valencia will host once more ” The Entrepreneur’s Day”, an initiative that will gather more than 650 organizations and institutions in order to support entrepreneurs and to promote the creation of new companies in its ninth edition. The event will take place on Thursday 27th of November in Feria Valencia Convention & Exhibition Centre and Pavilion 5.

This event’s purpose is to show the Valencian indutry’s possibility to accommodate new business, as well as the diversity and capacity of the  current systems of support to acutal entrepreneurs. In fact, the event will serve as a meeting point between different people, organisations and companies related to the world of entrepreneurship and will house various proposals for networking, roundtables, conferences and entrepreneurial experiences.

More than 400 activities are planned in an initiative that, in the previous edition, already exceeded 8,500 attendees between entrepreneurs and SMEs. The organizers have chosen again Feria Valencia’s facilities thanks to the wide possibilities, versatility and services for an event of this size.

 

Centro-Eventos-Kliquers

The Feria Valencia Conv. & Exh. Centre hosted the first day of Kliquers, a pioneer project  aimed for young people in order to complement the education they receive in the classroom. The event, the Foundation Mahou San Miguel and the Foundation ‘ Lo que la verdad importa’, has managed to gather at the Feria Valencia to 750 students in secondary education from 13 schools in the Region of Valencia, both public and private.

Under the motto “Think, feel, act” this initiative seeks to awaken the motivation among teenagers in an attractive and dynamic way. The World Champion of Water Polo and coach, Pedro García Aguado, starred in the meeting and talked about many of the issues that most concern teenagers, in order to equip them with tools to be able to make their own decisions. He also shared his testimony of self-improvement to young people.

The session, which has successfully completed the capacity of the Auditorium 1A of the Convention & Exhibition Centre, was also attended by Miriam Fernández, singer and national winner of the talent show “The X Factor”. The singer, through her testimony, has shared with students how to overcome bullying and have been offered tips to overcome fear.

IMEX2014LV1Feria Valencia Convention & Exhibition Centre has travelled to Las Vegas to present its offer in IMEX AMERICA which is being held from 14th to 16th October and is one of the most relevant events in

the global conferences and events business.

An institutional delegation of Feria Valencia will be participating in this event to continue their international promotion plans in a key market, such as the American one.

Feria Valencia is promoting the advantages of its facilities – 24 meeting rooms and 2 Auditoriums with the latest technologies- as well as the institution’s know-how when organising all kinds of events ranging from small business meetings to large events.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

Feria Valencia will renovate to be at the height of a name: Queen, the British band pioneer in converting every concert into a real show.

The fairgrounds have been chosen to host in Valencia one of the stops of the Spanish tour of “God Save The Queen”, considered by the prestigious magazine Rolling Stone as “the best tribute band in the world”.

The previous Tour in 2013 was a total success of public and critiques, the show was seen in eight Spanish cities by more than 40,000 spectators. With more than three million spectators all over the world, “God Save The Queen” returns this time with the world tour “The Show Must Go On”.

El concierto, que forma parte del Tour 2014 y es el único en la Comunidad Valenciana, tendrá lugar el sábado 25 de octubre a las 22 horas. The characteristics of its facilities, versatile and large capacity, together with the venue’s know-how in hosting such events have been key point in choosing Feria Valencia. The concert, which is part of the 2014 Tour “The Show Must Go On”, will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 10 pm. EXPOJOCExpojoc  chooses Feria Valencia once again to celebrate its annual gathering. The second edition of Expojoc (Expo Congress of Gambling of the Valencian Community) was held past 23rd and 24th September in Hall 8 of the exhibition centre, that was adapted for second year in a row to the needs of this forum-exhibition.

In fact, the event combined product exhibition with debates and sessions related with the latest issues in the industry with the only aim of promoting the gambling industry.

The several sessions filled every day the Conference Hall of Feria Valencia, located next to the exhibtion Pavilion. In total around 600 professionals and businessmen linked to all subsectors of the gambling industry participated in the event.

arminFeria Valencia Convention & Exhbition Centre will host on September 20th the electronic music show  ‘Armin Only’ which is headed by the Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren, who will be accompanied by more than 40 artists.

The show already has toured 30 international cities and has posted the “sold out” sign in Madison Square Garden in New York. It consists of choreographers, dancers, acrobats and a special software that synchronizes the live music with the visual show.

Feria Valencia facilities will host this show demonstrating once more its excellent characteristics and great versatility to host events of different kinds and first international level.

igarssFeria Valencia has been chosen as host of the international Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) in 2018, the greatest world symposium in Earth Sciences , which will bring together more than 2,000 engineers in the city of Valencia and will imply an economic impact for the city of more than three million euros.

The election took place in Quebec, where the  Valencia Bid, was defended by the Universitat de València, the International Trade Fair of Valencia and Valencia Tourism Convention Bureau, won against another finalist city, Abu Dhabi. And they did it, mainly thanks to the scientific program leaded by the Physician Prof. José Moreno Méndez. In fact, according to reports from the University, the Laboratory for Imaging Processing (LPI), the Scientific Park of the Academic Institution, and the Department of Physics of the Earth and Thermodynamics (Faculty of Physics),  organise the meeting, under the direction of Professor Moreno.

The International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium has with the support of the Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (IEEE GRSS) and the major space agencies, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), as well as private aerospace companies.

This Congress, the most important event on the control and observation of satellites from the Earth, is held annually in a different city. In 2015, it will travel to Milan (Italy); in 2016 to Peking (China); and in 2017 to Forthsworth (United States).

The Valencia Symposium will be held from 23rd to 27th of July 2018 in Feria Valencia Convention & Exhibtion Centre and Pavilion 5. It will occupy a plenary room for about 1,000 people, from 10 to 12 rooms of between 100 and 350 people for meetings, and about 2,000 meters of exhibition.

FERIAS ITINERANTESThe facilities of Feria Valencia are becoming a must-stop for national travelling fairs.

In the past months several successful exhibitions have been hosted in the venue. The 5th Edition of Biocultura, International Fair of Organic Products and Responsible Consumption, opened the year, where the main feature was its massive attendance. Exotic Form with its second edition at Feria Valencia and dedicated to the sale and exhibition of reptiles, amphibians, arthropods, fish and exotic mammals, once more amazed everybody. The funny and original Manga Show returned to permeate the Japanese culture: the visitors enjoyed many activities related to Japan. Not forgetting Expocadena, the professional event for DIY and hardware which returned to our pavilions after 8 years travelling around Spain.

These are some samples of intense activities related to trade fairs which have been recently managed by the Events Department of Feria Valencia, a business area that grows thanks to the combination of know-how and facilities.
