Valencia, 9th September 2019.- Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is all ready to go. The fifth edition of Spain’s foremost event for the home textiles, upholstery and decor industry, which runs next week, is aiming to outperform previous years in terms of the quality of its offering, product innovation and facilitating new business, especially through segments of the market such as the contract sector and by opening up new international marketplaces.

The fair features 68 Spanish and Portuguese exhibitors showing 169 brands. The companies have been granted space in line with strict quality parameters so that the fair is a showcase of the best the market has to offer in textiles for the home, upholstery and décor. All will be showing the latest designs and trends such as technical textiles, mite resistant textiles and fabrics made from new materials such as jute and 100% recycled cotton. This year, the exhibitors are also showing a raft of designs that feature birds as the main motif, along with vintage styles, tropical designs and designs inspired by Mexican culture.

Another major feature is the latest in bed linen, made-to-measure curtains and sofa covers that reflect the new trends and designs. Courtesy of the exhibitors, the fair is also the place to see the new collections of fabrics for children and for nurseries as well as memory foam pillows and the most innovative upholstery fabrics.

Textiles in the contract market

As well as showing a quality offering, the fair has focused on delivering great added value in two particular areas: the contract sector and international development. In line with this focus, Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is once again staging the ‘El Cubo’ contract space, an exclusive area where specifiers will have the opportunity to see the latest designs in textiles for contract projects as well a number of simulations of hotel rooms furnished by eminent designers and interior designers including Ornella Carrillo, Inés Abramián and Ana Paul.

Visitors to the fair will also be able to enjoy a packed programme of events, the highlight of which is the series of lectures scheduled for Thursday 12th September. Being delivered in the ‘~El Cubo’ Lecture Zone and hosted by AITEX, the lectures will focus on issues such as the intelligent home of the future and the role of industrial textiles and trends in the hotel, restaurant and retail sectors.

In addition, design professionals including Roberto Bebo of Nábito Estudio de Arquitectura, Ornella Carrillo herself, Víctor Medina and Galir Martínez-Barros of LeMoBba Architects will be taking part in discussions and giving talks that will review the advantages of digital wallpaper and its applications for the contract sector, courtesy of Digitalwalls, or case histories such as manufacturer La Tapicera.

This year the fair also includes a session on strategic marketing for the point of sale, led by expert Ricardo Palomares. Taking place over the morning of Wednesday 12th Sepember the session is targeted at an audience of home textile distributors and retailers, will also include customised advice.

Internationalization drive: buyers set to attend the fair from 35 countries

Each one is a professional with considerable power in purchasing or specifying in the field of contract projects and all have been selected as part of the fair’s International Guest Buyers programme, which is co-ordinated by trade association

ATEVAL – Home Textiles from Spain and supported by IVACE Internacional and ICEX.
