Woodworking sector places stake on upcoming edition of FIMMA + Maderalia

The Association of Woodworking Entrepreneurs (ASEMAD) is set to return to the biennial fair as a group and will be creating a substantial exhibition area for the sector at this upcoming edition.

The sector is taking up the suggestion made during a presentation given by FIMMA + Maderalia at ASEMAD’s headquarters for woodworking to focus on projecting its highly professional profile, to the contract sector and specifiers in particular.

Valencia, 19th June 2023.- FIMMA + Maderalia 2024 continues to recruit support from the industry’s trade associations. Last Thursday, 8th June, the Association of Woodworking and Affiliated Trades Entrepreneurs of the Comunidad Valenciana (ASEMAD) hosted a presentation about the upcoming edition of FIMMA + Maderalia at its headquarters in the Parque Tecnológico de Paterna. Next year’s fair takes place from 14th to 17th May at Feria Valencia. A substantial number of woodworking companies, all members of the Association, attended the presentation, with speakers including Maderalia’s president, Alejandro Bermejo – who is also president of regional associations ASEMAD and FEVAMA (wood and furniture) – and the fair’s director, Alejandro Roda.

The presentations gave a preview of some of the core areas that the upcoming edition of the biennial will be structured around, whilst pointing up that woodworking should be a central component of the fair as it is one of the key sectors within the groups represented at FIMMA + Maderalia: on the one hand these businesses are customers of FIMMA’s machinery and technology exhibitors and, on the other, they are suppliers of solutions to interior design and construction challenges for the groups of visitors from the worlds of contract projects and specification.

Just how important the contract and interior design projects sectors are to woodworking and FIMMA + Maderlia itself was made clear at the event, and not without reason: they were highlighted at the last edition of FIMMA + Maderalia and will be an even greater presence – if that is indeed possible – at the 2024 fair.

In response, ASEMAD and FIMMA + Maderalia will themselves be encouraging the trade association’s member woodworking companies to exhibit as a group, to create a powerful, easily identifiable set of exhibitors showcasing everything these companies have to offer the market.

“Maderalia is the main trade fair in our country where companies in the woodworking sector will be able to show their latest innovations and advances to the different segments of the market, especially”, says Alejandro Bermejo, “to the Spanish and international specifiers who visit FIMMA + Maderalia and are such an important market for these companies”. For Maderalia’s president, “we are relying on the woodworking community so that we can continue to offer a formidable showcase to celebrate the 40 editions of FIMMA + Maderalia with next year”.
