FIMMA + Maderalia 2024 to welcome foreign buyers from more than 30 international markets

The fair is setting up a range of inbound trade missions covering European, Latin American and North African markets. The move is a collaborative venture with trade associations ARVET and COFEARFE and is being supported by IVACE, the Ministry for Innovation and ICEX.

FIMMA + Maderalia will also be hosting ‘B2B’ meetings between international buyers and exhibitors.

Valencia, 15th January 2024.- FIMMA + Maderalia 2024 has caught the attention of international markets. The keenly anticipated biennial Spanish fair for materials, technology and components has sparked the interest of the international markets that will be a stand-out feature of the next edition, slated to take place from 14th to 17th May at Feria Valencia.

The fair organisers and the public and trade organisations have responded to this interest by arranging a series of trade missions comprising personalised invitations to high-profile specifiers and buyers with significant purchasing power.

The initiatives are being driven both by Feria Valencia and by associations such as ARVET (Spanish Alliance of Exporters) and COFEARFE (Federation of Spanish Manufacturers of Ironmongery and DIY Products), with the support of other organisation including  ICEX, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Conselleria de Innovación, Industria, Turismo y Comercio (Ministry for Innovation, Industry, Tourism and Trade) through IVACE (Valencian Institute for Competitiveness in Business).

International specifier and buyer missions

More specifically, a delegation of international specifiers has been invited, jointly with ICEX, to visit FIMMA + Maderalia from markets including France, Portugal, Italy, Germany and Morocco. These are professionals who wield considerable influence amongst target groups and have shown significant interest in seeing the extensive offering, new products and trends that will be on show this year at the Feria Valencia event.

On another front, and in this instance with institutional support from IVACE International, an ambitious trade mission has been arranged for international buyers and professionals in the contract sector in European Union, Latin American and North African countries. These are priority markets for FIMMA + Maderalia exhibitors’ exports and are therefore highly likely to generate business.

International B2B business meetings

Equally, and precisely to drive business with foreign buyers, FIMMA + Maderalia is reviving the ‘B2B business meetings’ programme – 20-minute meetings between international visitors and exhibiting companies designed to discover new opportunities, detect trends, generate international business and synergies, and promote partnerships, whilst creating visibility and accessibility for future customers.

To take part, both exhibitors and visitors will need to register via a platform that will be going live soon on the official FIMMA + Maderalia website, where they will be able to send and receive requests for meetings. As the meetings are accepted, a schedule will be generated in line with each participant’s commercial interests.

These meetings are part of the Enterprise Europe Network, which is supported by the European Commission and has more than 400 contact points designed to support competitiveness, internationalisation and innovation amongst SMEs.
