The 4th edition of BioCultura in Feria Valencia closed its doors Sunday 24th of February meeting all expectations, with the participation of more than 20,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors. This success confirms the good time that the organic sectoris living in our country, which appart from being an alternative to conventional products becomes a business opportunity in  times of economic crisis.

The Valencian public has proved to be increasingly conscious with bio consumption and ecological food. More than 20,000 people have approached  Feria Valencia to from 22nd to 24th of February to meet the offer of almost 200 companies that have taken part and have enjoyed more than 150 activities that have been developed parallel to the exhibition offer. In this way, BioCultura is also consolidated as the reference trade show in the Valencian Region. As Angels Parra, Director of BioCultura, points out  “it is agrowing sector around 15% and which is  being less affected by the actual crisis compared to many others. There is a need to rethink more than ever, in these moments, a more responsible and ethical alternative opposed tothe disproportionate wastage and consumption”.

The food industry is still the trade show’s main factor, with over 10,000 certified products. This offer has been extended in recent years with the addition of new foods, partly thanks to the work in ID of small companies and eco-entrepreneurs that have expanded their catalogues with news, bio products delicatessen, , hams from Bellota and Jabugo, ecological cheese bread, and an endless list of suggestions for a healthy diet.

Health, fashion, hygiene and aesthetics also occupy a privileged place in BioCultura, where, as in an eco market , the public comes not only  to know and test innovations in makeup, creams, soaps, shoes and much more, but allows the sale in stands.

BioCultura’s offer was closed by scheduled workshops, lectures and conferences related to food, health and responsible consumption for all ages and from all points of view; even children had their own space in the ecological festival of childhood, MamaTerra.

The Vida Sana Association ,  the non for profit organiser, closes this Edition with the satisfaction of  having reachd the objectives, and has begun to organize the next appointment, which will be held in Barcelona from 25th to 28th of April.
